Section 29
Providing land on lease

(1) If the land owned by the Government of Nepal is necessary for the operation of the national priority industries, such industries may submit an application to the relevant industry registration body to open up the area of ​​land they need.
(2) If an application is received in accordance with sub-section (1), the industry registration body will submit it to the ministry to take necessary action regarding the provision of land required for the industry.
(3) Within six months from the date of receipt of the application according to sub-section (2), the Government of Nepal may make such land available on lease to the relevant industry for the purpose of operating the industry in accordance with the prevailing law.
(4) According to sub-section (3), the amount to be paid by the industry for providing the land owned by the Government of Nepal on lease and other conditions related to the lease shall be as mentioned in the agreement between the Government of Nepal and the relevant industry.
(5) If for any reason the industry which has acquired land under lease cannot be operated for any reason, the lease agreement of the land provided by the Government of Nepal in accordance with sub-section (3) shall automatically be canceled and such land shall be taken back by the Government of Nepal.
